This Instagram-worthy list features DTSF patios with great views or an artistic twist. If you like to share stand-out pictures of your culinary adventures on social media, these patios are a must!
PAve
If you have not yet been up to PAve’s roof patio this summer, take this is your cue to go! If you
have seen selfies on social media of friends enjoying downtown nightlife, there is a strong
likelihood they were at PAve. In addition to cocktails and drinks, they sport an all-American
menu of burgers, salads, tacos, sandwiches and wraps.
M. B. Haskett Delicatessen
For a casual weekday lunch or relaxing weekend brunch, M. B. Haskett is a solid favorite.
However, not quite as well-known is it’s “hidden” back patio with eclectic wall mural. Enjoy
mimosas and their delicious crepes, quiche or sandwiches away from the hustle and bustle of
Phillips Ave.
Mama’s Ladas Enchiladas
This gem has been a local favorite since it first opened its doors in 2001. The menu is simple:
they only serve enchiladas! Grab a friend or two and sit out on their little wooden patio next to
the restaurant. The stunning mural painted on the brick of the building pairs well with Mama’s
Lada’s refreshing sangria, and house-made salsa and chips starter. Be sure to also ask to add
on their guacamole as well!
Crave American Kitchen
Located in the Hilton Garden Inn, Crave is popular for both its sushi as well as classic American
fare including burgers and steaks. Their patio offers a splendid view of the Big Sioux River that
is especially gorgeous in the evenings.
Ode to Food and drinks
Another patio with a relaxing river vista! Located in the trendy Cherapa Place building, these
picture-perfect views come with a menu inspired by a combination of Napa Valley luxury and
San Francisco Firehouse cuisine. It’s guaranteed to be a memorable evening worthy of your
phone’s camera roll.
