There is nothing like ice cream on a hot summer day. Luckily, Sioux Falls has no lack of options for when you are craving a cool treat.

B & G Milkyway
Is it really summer in Sioux Falls without taking the family out or meeting up with friends at B &
G Milkyway for ice cream? B & G has been a cherished local favorite since the first “Milkyway”
drive-in opened in 1954. There are now five locations in Sioux Falls as well as locations in Tea,
Brandon and Harrisburg. In addition to soft-serve sundaes, avalanches and cones, B & G also
serves hot summer favorites such as hot dogs, sloppy joes and chili fries. B & G is only open
during the warm months so be sure to stop in before they close for the season!

Parlour Ice Cream House
Located on Washington Square in Sioux Falls’ vibrant downtown, Parlour offers ice cream
lovers an elevated, culinary, experience. Their exquisite ice cream and sorbets can be savored
in their cool parlor, or out on the patio across from the historic Washington Pavilion.

Boki Gelato
If songs like “Arrivederci Roma” by Dean Martin are on your summer playlist, then Boki Gelato is
the place for you! Indulge in an authentic gelato experience at either the downtown Sioux Falls
location in the trendy Jones building or the Empire mall.

Stensland Family Farms Ice Cream
This local favorite offers a taste of home with hand-dipped ice cream made from the dairy
produced daily on the Stensland Family Farm. Their ice cream can also be enjoyed at other
popular places in Sioux Falls including Falls Park’s Overlook Cafe and Midco Aquatic Center.

Sub Zero Deserts
Specializing in rolled ice cream and shaved ice, Sub Zero brings into full color memories of hot
summers past, running up to the ice cream truck for frozen treats. In addition to a storefront, the
rainbow-hued Sub Zero food truck makes rounds at outdoor Sioux Falls events all summer long.

Sweet Cheeks
This beautiful ice cream and frozen yogurt shop is a newcomer to the Sioux Falls ice cream
scene. Locally owned by a fellow ice cream lover means that there is no lack of options
including a soft serve bar and cotton candy.
The hot days of summer are far from over. Sioux Falls abounds with options for whenever you
scream for ice cream!
